Fun With Little Friends
Well, it's been a while since I've posted on here. I seem to not take many pictures lately, partly because Ella is too fast to capture and my camera is in need of upgrading. We are aproaching the home stretch of pregnancy... only 10 weeks to go (hopefully a bit less!) Summer sure has flown by and now fall will be busy with final preparations for our newest little lady. Ella turns 2 in 2 weeks and will be moving into her new big girl room soon. Posts on all of that to come. Meanwhile, here are a couple pictures of some fun times with great friends.

Spring Time Fun
Hello all! It's been awhile since I've blogged. Honestly, it's because I fail to take many pictures lately and lets face it, posts are so boring without pictures! So here's just a few from the last few weeks.
Daddy's little pocket pal. Ella loves pockets, especially Kirk's hammer loop on his work pants. She leads him all around the house like this.
Tuckered out with her babies after visiting Grandpa and Grandma H. 2 of her favorite people in the world. She talks about them everyday and insists that they are on Grandpa's tractor.

Hanging out in her fort on a rainy day.

Ella is 20 months old now and so full of energy... or maybe I just notice it because I don't have any! I'm 15 weeks pregnant now and feeling much better. We look forward to finding out the baby's gender in June. The other day I asked Ella if she wants a baby sister or a baby brother and she said she wanted a snack. Obviously she has no clue! Or does she? A snack might be better than having to share the spotlight!

I Can't Shake This Feeling
Welcome to 2010, sweet friends! Are you excited? I can't seem to shake this feeling that 2010 is going to be a big year... a great year! I have a growing excitement for this year full of new days. I wonder what God will do and where He will take us. You see, 2009 was a stressful year for us. Oh it had plenty of good points. God proved His faithfulness to us time and time again. He called us to trust Him in new ways as a couple and as individuals. He used events and circumstances to strengthen our marriage and our committment to Him. He broke our pride in humbling ways. The Lord was good, but it was still a challenging year. Maybe that's why I look forward to this new year so much... I hope it's far less stressful. I know that this year will have a new set of challenges and areas of growth but I can't deny this peace I feel about it. So that is my prayer for you, dear friends. I pray that whatever you will face this year, where ever the Father chooses to take you, that He will send you a downpour of peace.

What Did You Do Today?
That's a question I think all moms want to roll their eyes and say "what didn't I do today!"
Here is what I did today, no lie I really did all this and about ten things in between!
Here is what I did today, no lie I really did all this and about ten things in between!
To the tune of 12 Days of Christmas
a trip to the grocery store
(and the gas station, dry cleaners, & dollar store)
2 horsie rides
3 meals made
(and snacks & drinks & prep for Christmas meals & cleaned up)
4 loads of laundry
5 dozen cookies
(I'm not saying how many were sampled)
6 diaper changes
7 messes cleaned
(at least!)
8 times picking up
(I think every toy & small tupperware was out at one point)
9 kisses given
(hugs too)
10 minute nap
(not nearly long enough!)
11 "no no" s issued
(at least!)
12 presents wrapped
(one made today)
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a goodnight!!
So, what did you do today?
