She's Here!

* UPDATE:
We met our sweet Lena today (Wednesday)! She is so tiny and darling! She was only 6lbs 6oz. I wish I had a picture but we couldn't take any since she's in the nursery. She is doing fine though. Aunt Wendy can't wait to snuggle her some more.
My sweet little niece was born today!!
Welcome to this world lil Lena Kay!!
I can't wait to meet her tomorrow!

It's Official!

Our lives are about to get even busier... Ella is now crawling. She has this half crawl half army crawl going on. I'm trying to get a video of it but she stops as soon as I pull out the camera. She also is beginning to hate baby food. She's been eating puffs and cheerios for a few weeks and now is onto other food and loves it so much she whines when I try to feed her baby food. Maybe it's just the independence of feeding herself she likes so much. Our little peanut is sure growing up too fast!

Night Night Little One

This is how I find Ella sleeping lately. Face down on top of her bear blanket. Silly girly!

8 Months Old

Ella is 8 months today! I can't believe how fast it's gone. She is such a happy baby. Our lives are about to drastically change as she is almost crawling. She is already a busy baby so I can't imagine what it will be like when she is mobile. She is our wild child, always loud and active. The crazy hair just fits her personality. Hugsy, don't grow up so fast!

Nesting

We have a Mama bird that thought the wreath on our front door looked like a great spot to build her nest. While I am extremely nervous that she'll fly right in my house I just couldn't bring myself to destroy her home. Not after all her hard work! It's actually been really fun to watch since I get a great view from inside. Every time she leaves or returns to the nest Daddy bird comes to escort her and then flies off. Cute, huh?

I've always hoped our home felt warm and inviting and I think this nest looks cozy don't you?

Watching her flit about her nest and snuggle down on her eggs has served as a sweet reminder of how God cares even for the sparrows or wrens in this case. I even feel a little connection with Mama Bird as I take care of my nest and little one.

A New Adventure

So, I'm officially a blogger. You all finally convinced me and Kirk finally okayed it. I have felt for some time now that I should have a blog since I read and enjoy so many of yours. I am still making changes to this so stick with me while I get it all figured out. Also, I don't like my title so I am working on a new one. More posts to come!
